I miss the summer...

I figured people would like to know what the Derbi looked like before I started to restore it.



-it wasn't running when I got it
-the pedals wouldn't engage the engine
-it was missing the front brakes and the rear brake pads had fallen off of the shoes
-the fork was a little bent to the side
-all the controls where seized up
-tires dry rotted
-i'm sure I am forgetting stuff

Not bad for a free moped...

Current State of the Derbi
-frame, fender, and rack have been powder coated
-seat has been reupholstered with high quality marine vinyl
-all my parts are in except for a carb and one set of brake shoes
-new gas tank
-manuals that BJ from Handy Bike surprised me with for free! Thanks BJ!
-engine case is split and ready to be rebuilt
