hey not sure where to post or email this question but I'm really hoping you guys can help me out. I just purchased a beautiful 1979 motobecane 50v and spent hours researching moped law and figuring out what I need to get it street legal. I was on hold for an hour at the dmv today before being transferred to an incredibly horrible woman who yelled at me (repeatedly and without letting me ask any further questions) that I need a prior registration or proof of sales tax payment from the previous owner. He lives in MA and never had it registered and the sticker on the moped in from 1981. Is there ANY way around this?? It's killing me to see my ride sitting in my kitchen, unridable for fear of having it impounded. Any help would be greatly appreciated. so frustrating.... -Marlena
